Kaliakra BioFarm is a family-owned and family-run farm near the historic Kaliakra Cape. We have grown seed crops, essential-oil herbs and fruit on the Dobrudja south plains since 1995.
Kaliakra BioFarm was founded in 1995 to grow agricultural seed crops — coriander, barley and sunflower — on the Dobrudja south plains, Bulgaria’s main grain-growing region.
In 2007 we planted a lavender trial area on the Black Sea coast. We chose two varieties of Lavandula angustifolia, suited to cut flowers, dried flowers and essential oil. The trial worked, and in June 2010 we planted our main production area of more than 200 acres.
Today we are the largest lavender farm on the Bulgarian seaside, with lavender and chamomile fields near the historic Kaliakra Cape. In 2014 we added trial fields of yarrow and melissa to widen our range of organic oils.
Our farm studio is also an apple garden, a gallery of regional heritage and a shop for the lavender products we grow on the farm.

Our mission is to make environmentally friendly products and to keep good farming traditions alive. Our growers are trained and know their crops, so everything we offer is clean, natural and of high quality.
